International Exchange Section Facebookpage Operating Policy

In order that the Iwamizawa International Exchange Section of the General Affairs Division, Iwamizawa City Hall, may provide information effectively and smoothly in relation to international topics and events, a Facebook page will be set up. So as not to cause misunderstandings or confusion in regards to information transmission, the following regulations have been decided upon as part of the Operating Policy.

Contributors will update the Facebook page at irregular intervals as to when is needed, mainly during office hours (Weekdays 8:45am ～ 5:30pm). Nonetheless, updating out of the hours stated may be necessary.

1. On some occasions, those who access the Facebook page may make comments aimed at issues relating to the City, of which the City may respond. However, it is not guaranteed that all comments will be replied to
2. It is requested that all questions and queries towards the City of Iwamizawa are to be made via the City website through ‘Questions and Queries’

In accordance to the fact that those who access the Facebook page are able to publish comments, any issues that fall under the following matters are strictly prohibited. In the case that such prohibited actions occur or in the chance that such actions could take place, upon making the decision that codes have been broken, the Facebook page administrators may delete any comments or block such users from further access without prior warning.

1. Comments made in relation to public order
2. Articles or comments that notably do not relate to the topic
3. Slandering, libeling of Iwamizawa City or any third parties
4. Content relating to political activities, elections, religious activities or any others of a similar nature
5. Illegal distribution of information or indecent content
6. Commercialization of products, stores or companies, or any content with the purpose of making sales
7. Copyright infringement or actions against the rights of use, or breaking of intellectual property law concerning Iwamizawa City or any third parties
8. Any other actions, comments or publications that the administrators may find offensive

1. Iwamizawa City holds the copyright for all content (Text, photos, pictures, etc) published on the Iwamizawa International Section Facebook page
2. Reproduction for private use, quotations of text, using the Facebook “sharing” option, republishing content with granted permission whilst clearly stating the original sources are allowed, however, reproduction or printing of content without following these terms are prohibited

The use of personal and private information on the International Exchange Section Facebook page will be as according to the ‘Personally Identifiable Information Protection Policy’ on the Iwamizawa City website (Japanese only).

1. While efforts are made to ensure careful attention of any data added, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of such content added to the Facebook page
2. Administrators shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content on the Facebook page
3. Amendments may be made to the content of the Facebook page without any prior warning
4. Iwamizawa City reserves the rights to make changes to or cancel the Operating Policy without notice

This Operating Policy will be applicable as of 18 December, 2012. However, until 31 March, 2013 this will be noted as a trial period.
